On the initiative of Tetiana Yermolaeva, a humanitarian headquarters and a logistics center for internally displaced and socially vulnerable people were organized. Also, the Social Services Center was opened in the community. The community won the project to open a shelter in the town for victims of domestic and gender-based violence, as well as the purchase of a car for the mobile brigade. The shelter is currently undergoing renovations.

Community and War

The Koziatyn community met the war with great solidarity, patriotism and responsibility. Everyone worked 24/7, made important decisions quickly, found the necessary connections and contacts.

Taking into account the fact that road and railway routes pass through Koziatyn, the town began to receive residents of enemy-occupied territories from the first days of the war. There was a humanitarian headquarters and a logistics hub that provided overnight shelter to all who needed it. All preschools were urgently converted to meet these needs; hot meals and round-the-clock work of the humanitarian staff were organized. The youth council organized a volunteer movement at the station. Young people met the evacuation trains, provided the passengers with the necessary assistance: clothes, food, hygiene kits and water. The town sheltered about 10,000 forced displaced persons in the first months, and more than 3,000 remained to live in the community.During this time, the Koziatyn community received support and friendly help from many partners, foundations and organizations.
